the opposite of insomnia. The condition is characterized
by prolonged sleep. Hypersomnia is not a condition many
people take seriously. It’s easier to assume it. Some

condition can sleep even when there is a lot of noise and
waking them up is very hard. Hypersonic people often
appear drunk when they wake up and they complain of
drowsiness. They also have to consume a lot of caffeine
in order to stay awake. Other signs of Hypersomnia
include: anxiety, high levels of irritation,
restlessness, lack of energy, sluggish behavior, poor
appetite and difficulty in remembering
things.

Depression can be a
major cause of Hypersomnia and in severe cases it’s
recommended that one takes anti depressants which will
have a direct impact on sleep. Regular exercise for
overweight people will help burn calories and make obese
individuals more active. It’s also important to have a
sleeping schedule and a curfew which should be followed
to help the body adjust to a particular sleeping pattern.
It’s also important to have someone who can be
accountable to you and ensure that you strictly follow
your sleep schedule. Diet is very important and
individuals should avoid excessive intake of alcohol or
caffeine its best to let your body adjust to the new
sleeping routine on its own to reduce dependency on drugs
and other substances that you may take to induce sleep.
