Human body is set for health by default and not for sickness. Clinical studies about how to cure insomnia have not concluded some unanimously agreed upon treatment. When we sleep after an eventful day, the body physician; sleep, starts resetting all the processes to the original settings through elimination or minimizing the deviations caused by fatigue. In this way sleep, when disturbed, is known as Insomnia and it sounds as if the cure (sleep) has gone sick. It is obviously very important to find a cure for this universal cure. An important function of sleep is to restore and refresh all the processes taking place in human body. 

 

Insomnia is nothing except an out of order sleep. As such sleep fails to bring all the processes in order and day by day the left over deviations accumulate in the form of fatigue. The cumulative effect of these successive additions of fatigue, when lasts for a day only is known as transient insomnia, as acute insomnia if extends to one month and as chronic insomnia if extended beyond one month. 

 

There is pharmacological cure for insomnia and many of pills for the purpose, have become household name .It is however an incorrect approach to continue with any self medication even if found effective to the highest degree, reason being the unknown and hidden aftereffects. 

 

How to Cure Insomnia

 

Similarity of disease and cure is the basis of homeopathy (homeo-similar, pathy–disease). 

Consumption of pancreas of goat along with minced meat, sometimes with alovera is recommended for treatment of diabetes. Similarly use of coffee, known for producing effects similar to insomnia, is recommended as a cure for chronic insomnia.

 

Consumption of milk diluted with water and containing calamus root powder has been considered a cure of chronic insomnia in Avurvedic system of treatment. Using almond oil and mustard oil for massaging scalp on alternate days relieves chronic insomnia.

There is nothing like Lotus Pose (Kanwal aasan) in yoga that cures chronic insomnia so effectively.

 

How to Cure Insomnia

 

Fasting is the best cure for chronic insomnia. In case of failure of sleep, there is no management system in place to take care of the other systems and help them resume default settings during the resting stage. Fasting in this situation proves to be more effective and can manage the restoration of all systems to default settings. The only prerequisite for this cure is to try it. Fasting is cure of chronic insomnia by dint of its detoxifying and comforting power. Socrates used to fast for ten days whenever he was trapped in some difficult academic complication. Fasting acts like a regulator and brings the disturbed sleep cycle as in insomnia, to match with the standard sleep cycle.

 

Some corrective and preventive actions 

 

  • Relax prior to sleeping ,don’t sleep to relax 
  • Take a glass of whole milk prior to sleeping 
  • Aerobics or light exercise help fight insomnia. 
  • Avoid smoking and drinking 
  • Don’t sleep in day or at least minimize sleeping  in day
