Causes of insomnia in
women
There are many
causes of insomnia which are common to men and women, but
there are some causes of insomnia in women specific for
them only. The foremost among them is the design of their
life cycle. Women have to face lot more of the hormonal
disturbances and they have to bear with specific stages
like motherhood. A woman, for example can not afford to
neglect her baby for a moment. A lactating mother is
constrained in this way, to adjust her sleep pattern in
accordance with her baby and this continuous and
prolonged constraint is one of the causes of insomnia in
women.
What causes the
women worry more than
men?
Men, on the
stage of life play their role while they are in the lime
light. Women on the contrary opt the playback action. It
is said that behind every successful man, there is a
woman and it is this woman who opts sleepless nights to
ensure the success of the man whom she is backing. Again
this situation too calls the women to adjust their sleep
pattern to make it compatible with the other party. This
constrained adjustment is also a significant cause of
insomnia in women.
Man’s worries, an
extra pleasure!
At times woman
have to bear the burden of being doubly worried on
account of their too preoccupied life partners. According
to Times
Magazine, Mrs. Albert
Einstein said to a Berlin shopkeeper, "If you knew how hard
it was even to persuade my husband he needed a new coat,
you wouldn't expect me to fetch him here. I wish you had
my worries." Such busy bees are highly susceptible to
insomnia.

Expert’s
opinion
Some experts
opine that there are four common
causes of insomnia
in women. In nutshell they are; reduced
efficiency with advancing years, progressively increasing
responsibility and hormonal
complications.
Current status of
women
Current status
of women too is a causative factor. Never in the history
of mankind, women, had been as influential as they are
today. They are there in every walk of life and their
presence as being at par with men needs no academic
research. They have even excelled in many fields and that
in overwhelming numbers. These heights were attained by
hard work and to maintain, lot of harder work is required
that lies ahead of most of the women. There seems to be
sufficient reason then to believe that this arduous work
by women has taken its toll and rendered them susceptible
to sleep disorders like
insomnia.
Causes of Insomnia
in Women
Of many
possible explanations, a key answer to this question is
embedded in the very nature of woman. Leaving aside a few
exceptions, women compared with men are far too sensitive
to sleep on problems. They, by nature can not keep them
under rug and endeavor to resolve the issues. Issues
however don’t always arise to be resolved. Some are only
too challenging and consequently cause the restlessness
what we know as insomnia in
women.
